Drunken Youths Refuse to leave out of Control Party
TWO teens were charged and police dog Nas was called into action after a party involving 200 youths in Heathridge spilled over into bottle throwing and drunken fighting in a nearby park.
Police were called to Prince Regent Drive in Heathridge about 10pm on Sunday and found a large number of intoxicated youths outside and inside the property where the party was being held.
The organiser of the party decided to shut things down due to the disorderly conduct but according to police, several attendees then started fighting, abusing police and throwing bottles at police cars.
With police officially declaring an “out-of-control” gather, police dog Nas was called in to disperse the youths, some of whom allegedly failed to leave.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with failing to obey an order from police to move on, while a 16-year-old boy was charged with possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell and supply and also failing to leave when ordered to.
Inquiries continue into the party organiser and police are yet to decide whether charges will be laid against him.
