I admit I have been critical of WA in regards to their Party Legislation however WA”s approach in regards to auditing licensed premises, security and patrons needs to be adopted in Victoria, now!!.
WA are definitely heading in the right direction. In Victoria, our LICENSED VENUES and SECURITY are in desperate need of a review.
If our authorities adopt a similar approach it will ensure the following:
Ensure our venues are employing RSA qualified staff
Ensure RSA staff are providing responsible bar service
Ensure our Professional Security are licensed and have the relevant insurance
Ensuring our patrons are partying safely
By monitoring the activities in these areas will minimise alcohol related violence on our streets
