I have parents contacting me wanting advice on how to manage their teens party. One of the areas of discussion is alcohol management. Some parents think that because their kids are 18 it is important that they are treated like a responsible adult. This is my point, at 18 years of age most kids are not responsible when it comes to alcohol. If you have all alcohol managed at the very start by a person with an RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate) you demonstrate to our new adults that this is how alcohol should be managed. They will experience the same system when they are clubbing. Parents MUST start calling the shots or we will see more of this type of tragedy.
