2 teenage parties last night have come to the attention of the media for all the wrong reasons. We are only half way through the weekend and are just coming into the silly season.
To all the parents that are organising a party for your child please make sure you have a plan. At the very least manage all booze, have professional security and adequate sober responsible parent helpers.
One party in WA had teenagers throwing bottles and rocks at the Police and another party in NZ had a death. Luke Tipene was in the prime of his life and has now sadly been taken from us.
Parents and hosts must understand that it is your responsibility to ensure everyone that attends your child’s party is safe
You are the one responsible and you are the one that must supply the duty of care.
