The 38-year-old Kallangur man, 36-year-old woman and two girls aged under 8 were not physically injured – but their car sustained damage after several youths jumped onto the bonnet while others kicked at the driver’s side door.
Police say around 150 young people spilled out of a party onto Narangbah Road and surrounded the passing car, with some climbing onto the vehicle and others reportedly exposing themselves to the family trapped inside.
Police were called, and the party-goers then fled – but others then attacked the police vehicle called to quell the disturbance.
That car was damaged when its rear window was smashed after two youths jumped on the boot of the parked vehicle while officers were dispersing the crowd.
Police arrested eight young people on charges ranging from public nuisance and being drunk in a public place to assaulting police following the large street disturbance at Kallangur just before 10pm.
Those arrested include a 16 year old girl and seven boys and men aged 16-20 .. the adult offenders will appear in Court on February 17.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”23359″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_button2 title=”MEDIA LINK” style=”rounded” color=”violet” size=”sm” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fm.brisbanetimes.com.au%2Fqueensland%2Fdrunken-kallangur-teens-attack-passing-car-20140126-31g91.html||target:%20_blank”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
