About 60 revellers threw bottles
A TEENAGE partygoer who allegedly threw a glass bottle at a Sydney police officer has been charged.
Officers were called to a community centre at Mount Druitt late on Friday night following reports of a loud party, police say.
About 60 revellers threw bottles of spirits at the police, who then shut the shindig down.
While police were dispersing the group a male officer was hit in the face with one of the bottles.
A teenager tried to run from police but was arrested after a short chase.
The 18-year-old was subsequently charged with assaulting police and resisting an officer in the execution of duty.
He’s due to appear before Mt Druitt Local Court in September.
The officer was taken to Mt Druitt hospital with minor injuries.
