I have been campaigning for many years for Safe Event Laws. Part of my submission was to create an offence for gatecrashing or attempted gatecrashing. At this stage most states within Australia do not have an offence for gatecrashing. Unless we create a deterrent for this annoying behaviour these teenagers will continue to crash parties and create havoc for the people that have done the right thing and planned their family members celebration. It is about time we punish the trouble makers instead of the people doing the right thing.
