Secondary Supply Consent Letter – ACT

What this letter is for

The parental consent letter required under ACT law before a minor can be served alcohol at a supervised private event.

This letter is required by the ACT's secondary supply law, part of the Liquor Act 2010. It is illegal to give alcohol to a minor in a private home unless it is supplied by the minor's parent or guardian, or an adult with their approval. The penalty is $3,000. Without this letter, a minor will not be served alcohol at the event.

How it works

1. Purchase the letter. You receive the two-page PDF with your receipt number, which validates it.
2. Fill in the event details on page 1 and send the letter to the parents of your invited minors.
3. Parents complete and sign page 2, then scan or photograph it back to you at least one week before the event.
4. On the night, minors present the completed letter before they can be served.
