SITREP TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND SERVICES
Front-line responder, Naomi Oakley has been involved in many varied types of community environments, corporate events, and organisations when there was an immediate need was for de-escalating of aggression and scanning for risk. With a unique perspective on the importance of situational awareness, SITREP Training takes a holistic approach to planning people’s day to keep everyone safe, staff and the public included.
SITREP training is set up on the same day/night in two parts:
- A personal onsite/in venue, thorough site inspection and assessment. A customized assessment. A quote will be provided prior to booking.
- The 2.5 hour of face-to-face onsite training. Each session accommodates fifteen attendees. All genres, all ages. Times of training are scheduled to suit shift workers, office workers, early morning till late at night. We rise to the occasion.

The safety training starts from the time one puts their foot outside the front door, from when they drive their cars, catch public transport, walk to their community or to their destination.
SITREP shows you how to
- Observe individual/s
- Make a quick safety assessment of your workplace, of your travelling environment, and illustrates what you can use within your space /area to protect your self
- The training applied continues until you return to safely your home
- Manage the fallout of poorly planned events, providing security support at community sports and music events

We create each workshop to cover all safety concerns for all sectors of your industry.
- Learning how to manage a volatile situation in a licensed venue that includes being proactive with RSA Bar staff.
- Assisting with clearing tables (removing potential weapons utensils and glass wear).
- Proactive engagement with patrons and staff.
- Providing feedback to venues to ensure patrons are aware of behavioral standards, particularly towards hospitality staff (no touching grabbing etc).
- Working with family violence victims and providing support to provide safety to themselves.
- Also assisting them with court process and how to make themselves safe in a volatile environment. providing feedback to health care staff - how to keep themselves safe during home visits, what to look for.
- Working as a security operator in Health and Aged Care facilities during Covid I observed firsthand the issues that our front line works face. This meant that I was able to provide Health care staff including aged care providing feedback on how to provide a safe working environment and understanding the triggers and the signs of aggression.
- Working as Security Support within mental health underlined the importance of affective communication.
communication is not about what you say, but also includes,
- Body language.
- The tone of your voice and how you relay certain things. The time I spent with patients gave me unique and valuable insight from a security aspect.
- Situation Awareness in this environment was the difference between getting assaulted and not.
- Providing support to retail workers in various environments about de-escalation and reading the room.
- This includes a clear workspace (not having potential weapons available).
- Providing advice to family violence survivors regarding possible home intruders.
- Handling aggressive road rage.

- Road Rage: Providing guidance on seeking safety, driving to the nearest police station, and reporting incidents.
- Workplace Safety: Emphasising the importance of effective communication and awareness in various workplace settings. Highlighting the importance of Duty of Care and harmful behaviours that affect staff.
