A KNIFE-WIELDING gang of teen gatecrashers
A KNIFE-WIELDING gang of teen gatecrashers is targeting parties in the outer eastern suburbs, an ex-cop has warned.
And security staff are so worried about their safety they are considering wearing “stab vests” to protect themselves.
U-Nome Security director and founder of Safe Partying Australia Naomi Oakley said a group of youths, aged 17-21, were driving to parties “anywhere between Dandenong and Kilsyth to cause havoc”.
“They come with baseball bats and weapons, including knives,” Ms Oakley said.
Ms Oakley, an ex-policewoman, said the gang had gatecrashed at least three parties in the outer east since November, including in Ferntree Gully, Kilsyth and Croydon North.
“The violence and attitudes of these kids is really concerning,” she said.
