I am hoping that after the state election in Victoria , the relevant minister will take a long hard look at the security industry. Hopefully, they will inject some funds into the Police Licensing Division so they have the time to investigate and prosecute rogue security operators.
This image makes my blood boil. In the last few months I have been informed of a number of situations involving bouncers:
Heavy handed bouncers that use excessive force on patrons
Unlicensed Bouncers (Having a number on their shirt does not make them licensed)
Bouncers getting paid cash (Remember they have no insurance)
Bouncers getting paid cash by venues (Venues do this to avoid paying Work Cover and any other relevant Insurance)
Sadly these types of bouncers are the reason why the security industry has a bad name
Clients need to understand that if you pay a little more per hour you can have a professional security company assign well trained security operators that do not look like bouncers but have amazing communication skills and experience and actually look like regular people.
You will save in the long run!
