[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]AFTER a night of celebration that descended into violence, a young girl hugs a policeman amid the broken glass and debris to say thank you for possibly saving her life.
The touching scene played out after police were called to Merrylands Oval when a 17-year-old youth was stabbed in the chest after about 30 uninvited guests gatecrashed a birthday party.
In the middle of the hysteria, the girl, who was thought to be intoxicated, had gone to run out in front of a car, only to be pulled back by the policeman.
